Congratulations to all of the wrestlers that participated in Sunday's (12/18/11) Union County Brawl.  Everyone, win or lose, should be proud of themselves for competing and wrestling as hard as they did!  Our team is a little young this year, but yesterday was evidence that we are getting better every time we wrestle and that is all we can ask for as coaches/parents.

A special congratulations to our Union County Champions, John Braun and Garret Beam!  Also, our place winners:  2nd Place, Mike Ramos, Zack Cesaro and Matt Sims.  3rd place, John Gilligan, Nicky Rappa, Kaitlyn Pizuto and Pat Phillips.  Great Job by everyone!

Saturday, Dec 10th the Bears Central Jersey League team began it's dual meet season with a big win over Union 60-18.  The match was highlighted by MANY pins coming from Nicky Rappa (:45), Luca Limeria (1:42), Pat Phillips (1:30), Joe Ferguson (:44), Vincent Rappa (2:24), Chris Keith (:47) and Garret Beam (2:28).  Also on the winning side were Matt Sims (7-6 dec) and John Braun (4-3 dec).  A great start to the season shows that hard work really does pay off!  Great job wrestlers!

On Sunday, (December 4th) in the South Plainfield Wrestling Tournament, we had some Kenilworth wrestlers there and they did great! Congratulations boys all three came in first place! Results as follows:

Joseph DiGrado - 1ST Place Champion – 3-0

Patrick Phillips - 1st Place Champion – 3-0 

Matthew Sims – 1st Place Champion – 3-0
